Mashhad Razavi Hospital Razavi Journal of Medicine 3115-753X 9 1 2021 03 30 Effectiveness of Emotion-focused Therapy-based Enrichment Program on Psychological Well-being, Marital Relationship Quality and Marital Satisfaction in Mothers of Children with Specific Learning Disabilities 63 68 118345 10.30483/rijm.2021.249708.0 EN Ezat Deyreh Assistant professor, Department of Psychology, Bushehr Branch, Islamic Azad University, Bushehr, Iran Sara Asgarian PhD student in General psychology, Islamic Azad University, Bushehr Branch, Bushehr, Iran Journal Article 2020 07 23 <strong>Background:</strong> Since learning disability is a shortage in general educational skills and the mothers of children with such a defect should be aware of the skills to deal with incoming issues.<br /><br /><strong>Objectives: </strong>Present study aimed to investigate effectiveness of emotion -focused therapy-based enrichment program on psychological well-being, marital quality and marital satisfaction in mothers of children with specific learning disabilities.<br /><br /><strong>Methods: </strong>This study was a semi-experimental work with pretest-posttest design and control group. The statistical population included mothers of children with specific learning disability referring to Talas hClinic in District 1 of Tehran in 2017-2018. 30 mothers of children with specific learning disability were chosen as samples and randomly were divided into 2 groups (control and experimental).<br />Initially, the pretest was conducted on the two groups. The experimental group was exposed to 8 sessions of emotion-focused therapybased enrichment program. Then, post-test was carried out. For data collection, Ryff’s psychological well-being scale, Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale and Marital Satisfaction questionnaire were used. Data analysis was conducted using MANCOVA.<br /><br /><strong>Results: </strong>Statistical data analysis indicated positive effectiveness of the enrichment program on psychological well-being, and marital quality and satisfaction of experimental group compared to the controls (P<0/05).<br /><br /><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The enrichment program can be an efficient way to increase psychological well-being, and marital quality and satisfaction among mothers of children with specific learning disability. https://journal.razavihospital.ir/article_118345_59e0b849c431806edbaac049ac0a77c3.pdf
